Beatles VS Jay Z (thanks to Dangermouse)

In 2004, Dangermouse a Los Angeles Dj by the name of Brian Burton had put out an album entitled the Grey album. This album consists of twelve songs in which Dangermouse had sampled using rapper Jay Z's lyrics but samples the Beatles' original beats, thus creating the Grey album. Now, back the mid 1960's, everyone knew about the how big the Beatles were. This is a record that your pops used to play and was on the television before there was even color. Hence, the Grey album: how genius in the title?

Although Dangermouse nor Jay Z had no permission to use the Beatles' songs, this situation caused controversy and lead EMI music to sue them,(EMI is The Beatles' record label) Dangermouse believed different. He said that it was his creative side, giving others opportunities to hear the Beatles through the modern day music. Creative? yes. permission? that's something he should of thought about before he got creative.

You cannot please everybody, but music speaks for itself. If it's heard on the radio, through the streams of the internet, or on itunes, weather it is blasted on MTV and heard through BET and stolen on Limewire and Napster, it will find it's way to listeners all over the world and that is the best part of the rebellion: us listeners will still try and find a way to hear music, weather people think it's controversial or not.

Unfair? To the Beatles, perhaps. But to those who have no idea who the Beatles' were, this still introduces them in this generation of hip hop. To all the underground heads, you already know who Dangermouse is, and he my friends is a rebellious genius.

peace.

Let the craze begin...

Lions, tigers, and fires, oh my!

So Cal has major fire issues going on & it came upon us this past weekend. Cal State Fullerton at the Convention, Brea, Anaheim Hills, Santa Barbara....

Freeways closed.

quite the experience for those unfortunately breathing this air. It's very inconvenient. And it carried on in our lungs, in the air, on the freeway that lagged through the weekend, which made individuals take side streets & traffic being a bitch.

It's a fiasco!

I smell romance....

On Jezebel.com, there's an article entitled: Love: ever been in love with someone and hated his guts at the same time? call it what you want, weather it be an unhealthy relationship, the wants of someone there all the time, or just to analyze the situation: there shore is a thin line between love and hate.
_________________________

We've had our shares of television to give us a grip on what being in a relationship is, Carrie & Big of Sex & the city, Zach & Kelly of Saved by the bell and watching these couples act that they are in love makes us yearn for that feeling. Shore, it's fine & dandy when you go through the infactuation stage and when you can't keep your hands off each other. But when you get comfortable, like as in fart in front of your significant other, or the fact that you will probably pick something out of their teeth when they have something stuck it in - it's a bit of fantasy-based reality when you are involved with someone to that certain extent. Love, lust, commitment, relationship - same thing. It's what humans do to give them a certain need or want.
________________________

So why bring this up? It has been said that in a study, the term love, passion & romance come from a study of the scientific survey that come from the same brain tactic - in a sense that both take a lot of energy to feel passion and to feel more passion to hate or love it. Like for instance, you love your man so much -- but when you fight - you want to punch him in his nuts for even saying things that come out of his mouth. This, must be an annoying game of hate VS love but it comes from passion, and with that tangent, we know that love can be blind. And with love blind, it still builds a nero in our system that causes us to be passionate about the person who we are romantically involved in. An, or a hate feeling. It's passion, it counts.
________________________
so, we know that being in love is crazy, although we may not understand each other when we are being in relationship, we just know that it's a feeling. And you can love him or her all you want but bottom line? it's from the same nero in our system. And I know it's confusing, because you want to have built up anger and you can't -- because you love them, then you hate them, feeling or no feeling, it's passion and it comes from the same kind of part in our human body. yeah, it sucks. i know.

don't you smell the romance?

Asian, Chinese , filipino, same thing.

NOT.
_______________

My legal name is Louise Ann Realiza Rodrigo. (Lois for short) 100% Filipino, although I know that the Philippines was founded by the Spainards, founded by Magellan -- hence my last name Rodrigo. The Philippines is an island, so when we check boxes, us Filipinos may check "Filipino", "Pacific Islander" or "other." I don't recall Filipinos being Asian, or anything close to it. I know we are different.
_______________

It must strike you because my last name is Rodrigo, which is usually the first name to a Spanish person, and my first name (Louise Ann) which was originated from my grandfather Luis, (which is a usually a Spanish name) Now in no context is my name related to being Asian at all. If anything, it's more Spanish than anything....
_______________

Yes, most Asians eat rice, and us Filipinos do too. Yes, we take off our shoes in the house, but just because we do have similarities, we are very different in many ways.
Just because we may have the same hair, same height or even some sort of the same style, we have different attitudes, different perspectives and different opinions. I know that we could be easily mistaken as sisters, cousins, whatever. But in reality,
we're tanned. Us Filipinos do have naps in our hair and although some of us women can be petite, we SURE EAT. What's a diet? You drink tea? You take herbal medicines? duuude, get me some real food with some rice. some meat. I've never dieted and I do not think I'd ever diet.

But what's considered race?

in my concern, there's only one kind of race --
and that's human race.

Chinese - Japanese - Korean - Thailand - etc. FILIPINOS. watch out, we got our own box now.

Attention women: would you ever become a sex slave for college?

From madams, to sex slaves, to "massagers" -- prostitution has become a way of living amongst women who are students, in debt and broke. Women are desperate for cash and are willing to sell their souls to pay their way to school. But what they don't know, is the outcome of their innocence being thrown away, the health risks and the philosophy of selling their dignity. Easier said than done, those women who decide to be put as a sex slave will find out that sooner or later, maybe the biggest mistake that they have made for the rest of their lives.

Sex does certainly sell, sex sells in movies, Craig's list, ads in the paper, commercials, clubs, magazine articles and magazine ads, mall pictures, and now even at the "massage parlors." It's literally breathing in the alley way, regiments in the taxi cab , and in the next room where your room mate is getting their freak on. SEX is a human need. We need it to feel better, to produce babies, for our own guilty pleasure.

It used to be such a shocking thing for america, but now sex trafficking can be found anywhere -- from New York, New York, to san francisco - to even countries such as the Philippines - India, Europe and Asian Countries like Korea, China, Japan and so forth. It's kind of like the new trend for women -- and the norm that these women will sell their soul to give money back to their family to survive.

With such a liberal and sinful world , i swear to god we pass this by. We view this as a shocking ordeal, find it to be sad but really, i dont think we do anything remotely close to stopping it. sure, this kind of job can be treated as a DUI, get caught by the police, get in handcuffs, go into a jail for a night or two and then end up owing the government half of your earnings.

is this really worth it?

I dont think women are aware of these consequences, and women that are greedy and want to get that money - more power to the women who want that cheese -- but HELLLOOO --- as bluntly spoken, you'd rather give away free nookie to the dirty man who has a wife and kids because you need a meal? These women have no idea what it is to REALLY WORK if they will continue to run into this type of agencies. I mean, I'm sure the money is great -- reading articles and going thru many sites, women are addicted to the money. they crave it, and if they don't make their ends meet - they go crazy. Now, is it just me or do you think these bitches need to go see a counselor?

RIIIITTTEE??

I'm not saying I'm the cleanest, hail mary virgin. I'm human. But real talk,

i will work my ass off rather than sell my soul to the devil. It's just not worth it.

to all the ladies selling their soul,

think hard about what your doing.

i'm just a woman,

what more if god was standing here?

peace.

Can there be 30 hours in one day?

I think that 24 hours a day is not enough. Now think about it, you are recommended at least 8 hours of sleep each night and you also need to eat breakfast. Breakfast today for students seems to be coffee, and if your lucky, a piece of toast. Us students go to classes in the mornings, mid afternoons - and at night. If we aren't in class, we have to go to work. And how many hours a week do we work? Some of us, would be 15-20 at the max, others-- would be a full time job. How the hell do we pull it off?

It's not easy.

Not to mention, some students have little ones to attend to. So even if you are in a rush to go to class, you also have to feed your little one breakfast, change their diaper, take them to school - grandma's or a babysitter. And when you come home, you do it all over again. And when it comes down to the end of the day, they CRY! screaming for your attention. So forget your homework, your little one needs to be attended before that math assignment due in about 3 hours.

On a typical day, students wake up at 7:30am - 8:00. Usually, head to school by 9:45 AM, go to classes, try and scarf down food in our system, get an energy drink or coffee - to wake us up. Usually have 1-2 classes, and then, a couple hours later, we have to go to work. Work lasts about 4-8 hours, depending on your shift, then we are expected to go home, read, eat, crap, whatever and manage at least 6 hours of sleep. (if we're lucky)

Other than school and work, there is also other festivities that go on. Weather it be chores, getting your oil changed, or even as simple as buying vegetable oil to make tonight's dinner. Although these things maybe little, they take our time.

TIME is precious, and because we can live as fast paced as we do, we don't have a lot of time. Either that or we take for granted our time. Like time with our family, our relatives, our cousins, our boyfriends - or girlfriends or even our homies that we want to hang out with. Don't you feel sometimes like you need to see your friends for sane reasons? Don't you need time to be with those you love? And because we don't have a lot of time, it's a little difficult to fit these people in your schedule when you have other things going on in your life.

Yes there is is 7 daze a week, and two of them are considered weekends, but when do we really stop? Some of us work, some of us have a birthday party to attend to, plan, or a wedding, or a certain event that happens. Some of us might even have class. Do we really rest? Not all the time. We also have to read, catch up on homework, also attend to emails, messages from our friends, chores, etc, etc. It doesn't stop -- and by the time you are done with your stuff, it's like 11PM and you have to get sleep.

Wake up do it all over again.
and again,
and again.

24 hours? I think if we had at least 4-5 hours more, we could catch up on sleep, chores, homework and time.

Muslim? Christian? Religion? are you F*cking kidding me?

Websites, posts, rumors and everyone and their mama is talking about what they've heard. Barack Hussien Obama is a Muslim. A Muslim? foreal? Here's the documentary:
_________________________

Barack Hussein Obama - MUSLIM - Documentation - For more funny movies, click here

____________________________

__________________________
It's pretty fascinating that he doesn't admit he is Muslim, although he doesn't deny that he's Christian. Might I add, I feel as he might be neutraul to the whole spiel. According to: http://mediamatters.org/items/200612200005, Debbie Schlussel said that his middle name is Hussein, which was from his father - who was of Muslim decent. It has been said that he is carrying on his heritage and his "loyalties" must be called into question for his presidency. I mean, why elect a man who is being accused of Muslim, when we are fighting for war against the Muslims? I dont understand.
_________________________
Whatever his past was, is his past. Are people being not trusting him because of what they assume? What ever happened to forgive and forget? I honestly don't even want to talk about George Bush - Because he was "christian" and for the last four years we have been going thru hell. We're human being peoples, I do understand that this is a man running for President, and I know we do look at flaws and what not but why pin point religion -- why point pin if he's Christian or Muslim? Does he believe in god? Do you think god will guide him?

now to me, that is an important.....

I aint super religious, to me it's a sore. It's sort of like the way your mom made you got Catholic Church and when you finally grew out of your adolescent years, you just didn't care to go to church. God is real, and if you want a RELATIONSHIP with him, that's up to you. Although religion is something we aren't supposed to talk about, kinda like how Kanye West has a song about "Jesus walks" -- stating,
"I need to recruit all the soldiers
All of God's soldiers
We at war
We at war with society, racism, terrorism, but most of all we at war with ourselves

(Jesus Walks)
God show me the way because the Devil trying to break me down
(Jesus Walks with me) with me with me with me [fades]"

They say you can rap about anything except for Jesus
That means guns, sex, lies, video tapes
But if I talk about God my record won't get played Huh?

AMEN KAYNE.

think about it. why do we have a dollar bill that says:
'IN GOD WE TRUST"
